Blue Water Resort – Sumilon Island
A 24-hectare coral island located on the south-eastern tip of Cebu, is home to Sumilon Island’s Bluewater Resort. The island is famous for it’s pristine white beaches and sandbar that changes shapes and shifts locations around the island. There is also a natural lagoon teeming with high mangroves. On the south side of the island is a lighthouse nested in the protected tree park and a “Baluarte” (a 19th century historical watch-tower). The location is also home to the Philippines first marine sanctuary.

The resorts hosts 14 spacious Deluxe Rooms with private veranda; 10 Premier Deluxe Rooms; and 3 Villas with private dipping pools. The Pavilion is the resort restaurant. It serves a satisfying selection of local and international cuisine. With it’s high octagonal thatched roofing and open-air construction, the restaurant hosts a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean and mainland Cebu. Resort activities include: relaxing in the lagoon-shaped infinity swimming pool or jacuzzi; scuba diving and snorkelling in the marine sanctuary; kayaking, paddle-boating, island trekking and lagoon fishing.
